Greetings Citizens of Love,

September arrives with a very different quality from the powerful releasing energy of August. The eclipses of August have opened doors, revealed truths and brought certain situations to completion. Now we enter the month of discernment.

The question becomes: What are you choosing to cultivate?

There is a profound difference between simply moving forward and moving forward consciously. We can begin again from habit, from fear, from urgency or from the desire to escape what has been. Or we can begin from awareness.

September invites us to pause long enough to recognise the difference.

The Virgo New Moon on September 10 brings the insights for improvement. Virgo reminds us that the details are important. We must look at our habits, our work and anything else that distracts us from the necessary awareness for change.

What are you tending?

What are you feeding with your attention?

What are you allowing to occupy space in your life simply because you have become accustomed to it?

Discernment is a form of self-respect. It allows us to choose what belongs in our lives and what has completed its purpose.

Sometimes the most powerful new beginning is created through subtraction.

We remove what is unnecessary. We simplify. We become honest about what is working and what is not. We stop scattering our energy across everything that calls for our attention and begin giving our energy to what truly matters.

The Virgo New Moon therefore offers an excellent moment to establish practical intentions. Rather than asking only, What do I want?, ask yourself:

What am I willing to consistently cultivate?

Because a vision becomes a life through the small choices we make repeatedly.

Then, on September 26, the Full Moon in Aries brings us back to the self. Aries asks for courage, individuality and initiative. The Full Moon in Aries illuminates where we may have denied our own desire, delayed our decisions or allowed the needs and expectations of others to supress our inner knowing.

The balance between Virgo and Aries is beautiful.

Virgo says: Discern. Refine. Prepare.

Aries says: Choose. Act. Begin.

Together they teach us that conscious action is not  rushed. There is a time to prepare the ground and a time to plant the seed. There is a time to listen and a time to move. There is a time to release what has completed and a time to step forward without carrying the past into the future.

AS IT IS ABOVE, SO IT IS BELOW

September marks an important transition. We are moving beyond the intensity of the August eclipses while gradually approaching Venus retrograde, which begins on 3 October. Venus will station retrograde at approximately 8° Scorpio, bringing greater attention to matters of love, relationships, personal values and finances. September therefore becomes a valuable month for observation and reflection, allowing us to notice what is changing within us before Venus turns inward.

Traditionally, Venus governs love, relationships, values, attraction, pleasure, beauty and material considerations. When Venus is retrograde, these areas are often better approached through reflection and reassessment rather than impulsive decisions.

Therefore, as we move toward October, take your time with matters of the heart.

Avoid rushing into a significant new relationship simply because something feels exciting or compelling. Give new attractions time to reveal their substance.

Venus retrograde is traditionally considered an unsuitable period for making major elective changes to one’s appearance. Where possible, postpone cosmetic procedures, cosmetic surgery, tattoos or other permanent alterations until Venus has regained direct motion. This is an astrological timing principle rather than a medical judgement; medical procedures should always be guided by qualified medical professionals.

The same principle applies to relationships:

Observe before deciding. Old relationships may return for review. Old feelings may resurface. Someone from the past may reappear. Something we once thought we wanted may suddenly look very different. This does not necessarily mean that the past should be restored. It means that Venus retrograde gives us an opportunity to see more clearly what we value now.

September is therefore an excellent month to ask:

What do I truly value?

What kind of love am I available for?

What am I no longer willing to compromise?

Where am I choosing from genuine desire, and where am I choosing from loneliness, fear or habit?

Do not rush to answer.

NUMEROLOGY INSIGHT — SEPTEMBER 2026

2026 carries the vibration of a Universal Year 1, opening a new nine-year numerological cycle. September carries the same vibration as a Universal Month 1. The 9 of September combines with the Universal Year 1 to create 10, which reduces to 1. This gives September a particularly strong emphasis on new beginnings, fresh direction, initiative and the planting of seeds for the cycle ahead.

This gives September a particularly strong theme of new beginnings, independence, initiative and self-authorship. But there is wisdom in remembering that a new beginning does not require us to throw everything away. We are not beginning from nothing. We are beginning from everything we have learned.

August, with its Universal Month 9, brought completion and release. September’s 1 now asks: What will you do with the space you have created? This is the beginning of the next chapter. Choose consciously what you write into it.

ORACLE CARD OF THE MONTH — THE GARDEN

The Garden reminds us that what we cultivate grows.

Every thought cannot become our destiny, every desire cannot become our direction, and every opportunity does not require our participation. Discernment is knowing which seeds deserve our attention. Tend what is alive. Water what nourishes you. Remove what has completed its season. And most importantly, do not keep watering something simply because you once planted it. There is wisdom in allowing a season to end.

SEPTEMBER’S QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION

What am I ready to cultivate? What needs simplifying in my life? Where am I giving energy without receiving nourishment? What has completed its purpose? What do I truly value? Where am I ready to take personal responsibility for my next chapter? And perhaps the most important question of all:

If I trusted myself completely, what would I choose now?

September reminds us that our lives are continually being created through what we choose to notice, nurture and participate in. So choose carefully. Not from fear. Not from urgency. Not from the need to prove anything. Choose from consciousness.

May September bring you the clarity to recognise what is worthy of your energy, the courage to release what has completed its purpose, and the wisdom to cultivate the life that is calling you forward.
